These names are not a hall of fame for its own sake — they are a pattern: fast, documented progress through the same coaching method, described here by the people who experienced it.
Looking back on my career, I am especially proud of my 55 doubles titles, including winning the French Open and the US Open, and of the time I was world No. 1 in doubles. Those achievements came through hard work and close collaboration with great partners like Pavel Složil and Miloslav Mečíř. Even though talent and stamina were always the foundation, in recent years I have noticed how scientific training methods have changed the sport further. The integration of biomechanical analysis and data-based strategies has helped many players take their game to the next level. It is no miracle cure, but I can only recommend that every ambitious player make use of these developments to get the best out of themselves.
This was the first time I ever held a racket, and I could learn it right away. (plus forehand mechanics: I'm still benefiting from my forehand whip in 2025.)
As a padel coach at the highest world level, I have experienced first-hand the importance of scientifically grounded training. Through my work with top players from around the world (currently still on tour), I have seen how the combination of technique, biomechanics and mental preparation lifts the game to a new level. Biomechanical approaches help to optimize movement patterns and prevent injuries. Such principles are essential not only for professionals, but for every player who wants to improve their performance. Scientific training offers a clear path to keep making progress and to get the best out of your own potential. Articles about my career and Andy's training methods, in the new book 'Faszination Padel' with and by Christian Bonk, can be ordered online or in bookshops from 14 October!
Andy is a former regional-coach colleague (of the Lower Saxony Tennis Association) of my long-time tennis coach Chris Böhm. He conducted an interview with me, which will appear in the book 'Faszination Padel', published on 14 October, and has already appeared in a shorter version as a blog post on Padelpoint. As part of the German youth national team and a player in the 1st Bundesliga, being part of this project means a lot to me, and I am really delighted about it! Since we got to know each other, I have noticed how committed you are to this sport and how much passion you put into the book. Especially for us young players, it is important to become visible and to convey how much fun this sport is. Thank you very much for your support and this wonderful opportunity!
In his coaching work, he distinguished himself through his passionate, competent and motivating manner in passing on his expertise to his players. What stood out to me was his exceptional didactic skill, as well as his positive style of communication.

LK2 to DTB 150 — documented.
LK2 (the German tennis ranking ladder, level 2 of many) and DTB 150 (rank 150 of the national German ranking — among the country's top 150) are how German tennis measures competitive level. The jump between the two, in six weeks, is what this section documents.
Julia Wagner
documented performance evidence (tournament player)
Julia had two standout leaps in her tennis career — 2013 to 2015, and again in 2021 to 2022. She moved up from the Bavarian league (Bayernliga) into Germany's second national league — but her biggest jump of all, from LK2 to DTB 150 in only six weeks, is the one that is documented here and was noticed across southern Germany.

"We were all delighted by his straightforward, clear way of communicating. On top of that, his immense theoretical knowledge as a sports scientist impressed us — all the more because he translated that theoretical knowledge perfectly into practical exercises for us."
"We have never learned so much from a coach in such a short time as we have from Andy. He immediately recognizes where the flaws in the stroke lie and knows the right solution for every problem — to fix the flaw and improve the player's game."
Helge Albrecht is chairman of the Tennis Region Lüneburger Heide and has organized the well-known Senior ITF tournament in Mallorca for many years: 'Andy is a professionally qualified and competent coach.'
In 2022 my son Ben had the chance to train with Andy, and we are truly happy with the progress he has made. The work on contact-point fundamentals and the force relationships toward the ball at the point of contact helped him a great deal. These techniques and the underlying biomechanical understanding noticeably improved Ben's game. The training in Andalusia and later in Hochkönig was a valuable experience, as were the further training sessions afterwards. He now plays successfully in youth tournaments and in league matches in Baden-Württemberg. Andy worked with great patience and dedication, which really motivated Ben to keep developing.
I am delighted about the publication of Faszination Padel on 14 October and overwhelmed that so many pre-orders have already come in. As an author and journalist, my goal is to keep advancing the sport of padel, and the book is an important step in that direction. I am especially pleased that the training aspect is covered so thoroughly in the book — an area that is decisive for player development.
As a business consultant and padel coach with a background in psychology and business administration, I know how decisive scientific findings are for an athlete's development. The connection between mental strength and sporting performance is often the key to success. In padel it is no different — the right balance of mental preparation, physical training and tactical understanding can make the difference. I myself was lucky enough to train with Hernan Flores, who is featured in the new book Faszination Padel, and I experienced first-hand how important sound knowledge is for progress in sport.
The development of the sport of padel is based not only on technique and talent, but also on a deep understanding of scientific principles.
Patrick learned some great biomechanical principles! 'I'm still benefiting from my forehand whip in 2025.'
